The challenges – and how we solved them

Content & commerce—finally unified
Editorial and shop lived in separate silos for years. Our mission: unify content and commerce on one platform. We rebuilt the commerce logic from scratch—with paywall, subscription models, digital products, and deep Brevo integration for segmented newsletters.

Access rights? Previously a mess
Scattered permissions, duplicate data, limited control. Now editorial staff, readers, and customers are managed centrally. Content can be selectively unlocked or restricted—without workarounds.

Apps, collections, publishing—workflow was broken
Content existed—but the path to digital was fragmented. We implemented SSO, established thematic collections, and moved the InDesign workflow directly into the CMS. No copy-paste. No media breaks.

Scalability—couldn't handle peak loads
Every issue launch pushed the system to its breaking point. Today, hosting handles traffic spikes without performance degradation.

The outcome
Not a traditional publisher site. A flexible publishing framework that takes content seriously, integrates commerce seamlessly, and streamlines operations. With BLISH, brand eins' digital platform became future-ready—technically, editorially, commercially.
